MIKUR supplies Redispersible Polymer Powder (RDP), also known as RDP Powder, RDP Polymer Powder and Redispersible Latex Powder. The products are produced from modified polymer emulsions by spray drying and related processes. After mixing with water, RDP can redisperse to form a stable polymer dispersion for use in cement-based and gypsum-based dry-mix mortar. The product range includes VAE Redispersible Polymer Powder, VAE Polymer Powder and Redispersible Powder grades for dry-mix mortar applications.
RDP can improve bond strength, flexibility, crack resistance, water resistance, workability and durability. It is widely used in Tile Adhesive, exterior wall insulation systems, Wall Putty, Self-Leveling Mortar, Repair Mortar, Waterproof Mortar and other dry-mix mortar systems.
MIKUR offers RDP grades with different performance profiles to meet requirements for bond strength, flexibility, water resistance, workability and substrate compatibility.
Customers can select a suitable grade according to the application, formulation system, substrate and target performance. MIKUR provides samples, application testing and formulation support to help determine a suitable RDP solution.

Low Water Absorption, Strong Adhesion
MIKUR Hydrophobic Redispersible Polymer Powder is designed for cement-based dry-mix mortars such as waterproofing mortar, exterior wall mortar and repair mortar. After mixing with water, the product redisperses and forms a polymer film in the mortar, helping reduce water absorption while improving adhesion, flexibility and workability.
Key Advantages
High Adhesion with Flexibility and Water Resistance
MIKUR Redispersible Polymer Powder (RDP) for exterior wall insulation systems is suitable for bonding and render mortars used with EPS, XPS and mineral wool insulation boards. RDP forms a polymer film in the mortar, improving adhesion to substrates and insulation boards while enhancing flexibility, crack resistance and water resistance under different climate and construction conditions.
Key Advantages
Redispersible Polymer Powder (RDP) is a commonly used polymer modifier in Tile Adhesive. Adding RDP can improve adhesion between the tile adhesive, substrate and tile, while improving mortar flexibility, water resistance and workability. It is suitable for different types of indoor and outdoor tile installation.
MIKUR offers RDP grades for different Tile Adhesive formulations and application requirements, including:
Basic Tile Adhesive · C1 · C2 · T Anti-Slip · E Extended Open Time · S1 Flexible · Waterproof Tile Adhesive · Large-Format and Porcelain Slab Tile Adhesive
Different RDP grades can be selected and adjusted according to cement, sand, fillers, other additives, construction conditions and target performance.
Key Advantages
Different RDP Grades for Different Dry-Mix Mortar Applications
Redispersible Polymer Powder (RDP) is a commonly used polymer modifier in dry-mix mortar. Depending on polymer type, flexibility, adhesion, water resistance and workability requirements, RDP can be used in Tile Adhesive, exterior wall insulation mortar, Wall Putty, Self-Leveling Mortar, Repair Mortar and other cement-based and gypsum-based materials.
MIKUR offers RDP products with different performance profiles, which can be selected according to the customer’s formulation system, construction requirements and final product performance.
Main Applications:
Tile Adhesive · EIFS / Exterior Insulation Mortar · Wall Putty · Self-Leveling Mortar · Repair Mortar · Waterproof Mortar · Plastering Mortar · Gypsum-Based Mortar
Different grades have different profiles for bond strength, flexibility, water resistance and workability. Refer to the TDS for the specific parameters of each product.
RDP Grade Selection Criteria
RDP grades can be selected according to the actual formulation and application conditions, with the following factors considered:
Sample Testing and Formulation Adjustment
MIKUR can provide RDP grade selection, sample testing and dosage adjustment based on the customer’s cement, sand, fillers and other additives.
Customers can first test RDP under laboratory or actual production conditions and determine the suitable grade and dosage based on bond strength, flexibility, water resistance, open time and anti-slip performance before moving to bulk production.

MIKUR recently completed a 28-ton Redispersible Polymer Powder (RDP) export order to Iran. The customer specified requirements for adhesion, flexibility, water resistance and workability based on local climate conditions and the actual formulation.
Climate conditions vary across different regions of Iran, including hot and dry summers, day-night temperature differences and humid-area applications. Therefore, RDP selection for Tile Adhesive, exterior wall insulation mortar and waterproofing mortar needs to consider the specific formulation and service environment.
MIKUR’s technical team selected and tested RDP grades based on the customer’s cement, sand, fillers and other additives, focusing on:
After sample testing and formulation adjustment, a suitable RDP grade was selected for the customer’s product system, and the 28-ton bulk order was delivered.
Customized RDP Based on the Actual Formulation
Different cement, sand and additive systems have different RDP requirements. MIKUR can provide grade selection, sample testing and dosage adjustment based on product type, raw material system, target performance and construction conditions.
This 28-ton RDP export order to Iran reflects MIKUR’s product customization and formulation adaptation based on an overseas customer’s actual application requirements. MIKUR continues to provide RDP products and technical support suited to different market conditions.
MIKUR Waterproof RDP is developed for waterproofing mortar applications. It can reduce mortar water absorption while improving hydrophobicity, adhesion and impermeability.
At the same dosage of 3%, mortar water absorption decreased from 6.5% to 3.8% when MIKUR Waterproof RDP was used, a reduction of approximately 41.5%.
The product can also improve adhesion and impermeability in rigid waterproof mortar while supporting the bonding and impact-resistance requirements of render mortar.

Superplasticizer is a high-performance concrete admixture used to reduce water demand while maintaining the required workability. By dispersing cement particles, it can improve flowability and allow a lower water-to-binder ratio.
Depending on the product type and formulation, superplasticizers can also contribute to improved concrete strength, density and durability.
RDP is mainly used in Tile Adhesive, EIFS/ETICS, Self-Leveling Mortar, Repair Mortar, Waterproof Mortar, Wall Putty and other dry-mix mortar systems.
RDP can improve mortar adhesion, flexibility, crack resistance, water resistance, workability and durability.
RDP grade selection depends on the application, formulation, required bond strength, flexibility and water-resistance requirements. MIKUR can provide product recommendations based on the customer’s application.
A common RDP dosage is 1–5% of the dry-mix mortar formulation. The actual dosage should be adjusted according to the application and performance requirements and confirmed through formulation testing.
RDP is commonly supplied in 25 kg paper-plastic composite bags. Customized packaging, pallet loading and international export logistics can also be arranged.
Store RDP Powder in a dry, cool and well-ventilated place. Protect the product from moisture and direct sunlight to maintain product performance.
Yes. MIKUR can provide RDP samples, TDS, COA, SDS/MSDS and application/formulation support.
During mortar hardening, RDP forms a polymer film structure that improves the interface between the cement-based material and substrate and can increase tensile bond strength. The polymer film also improves mortar flexibility and impact resistance.
RDP is a powder product made by spray drying VAE (vinyl acetate-ethylene copolymer) and other polymer emulsions. Compared with liquid VAE Polymer Emulsion, VAE Redispersible Polymer Powder is easier to store and transport and is particularly suitable for dry-mix mortar formulations.
